The Onassis Festival NY 2015, held on Oct.8-11 2015, was the first annual festival of arts and ideas, hosted by the Onassis Cultural Center NY and the Onassis Foundation. The event featured a kaleidoscopic view of the myth of Narcissus through music, visual art, film, science, literature, choreography, culinary arts, fashion and digital media for curious minds. It was entitled, “Narcissus Now: The Myth Reimagined.”
Festival curator, Violaine Huisman (Director of Humanities at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), selected me (via my practice By Mnemosyne), to be a participant in the festival and facilitate a learning experience surrounding a “True Mirror,” a history of mirrors, mythology, STEM, and the arts.
